Veneers are placed in order to enhance the look of your smile; they can also provide protection to the teeth. Veneers may be placed on one single tooth or on multiple teeth. The advantage of using porcelain is when bonded correctly, it can strengthen the tooth and resist staining.
Steps:
-Dr. Penchas will first trim the tooth to provide adequate room for the veneer to be placed.
-Next an impression is made so the veneer may be created.
-Following, we will “try-in” the Veneer to assure it meets your esthetic and functional needs. If necessary, we will schedule more appointments to ensure your satisfaction. We will send you home with a temporary in the mean time. Upon your approval, the veneer will be placed.
-Prior to placement Dr. Penchas will coat the remaining enamel surface of the tooth, and the inside portion of the veneer with a resin cement. It is then place on the tooth.
-Once placed, the veneer is polymerized (cured) by a high powered light.
-Your ending result is durable and appealing!
