I showed up at Midtown Dentistry several years ago never having been to the dentist for the previous 10+ years and feeling down about not taking care of myself. The Midtown team embraced me and quickly accessed my oral health which put me on the fast track to maintaining my teeth with superior expertise and care. Loan does a phenomenal job helping me keep my smile and without her I’d still only be grinning. I would recommend anyone wanting to smile again to come see Loan and the team at Midtown Dentistry!

I come here for routine checks and cleanings, and let me just say that Olivia is incredibly professional and is descriptive of everything she’s doing at the moment, or is about to do. I very much appreciate that as someone that isn’t the biggest fan of dental equipment. This location has a great team, they are very thorough, and you can tell they really take their job seriously.

Ken the new hygienist was gentle and fast. And has a caring, fun personality. Dr Gomes does a great job as well. Glad I found this place since moving to Pearland. I have been coming for over a year now.

I had a x-ray and tooth extracted by Dr. Mason Jones, which was amazingly painless and took under an hour. All the staff were professional, kind and cordial and the facilities are state of the art.

Olivia was great! She was very personable and made me feel comfortable coming in as a new patient. I really liked how she explained everything before doing. Found my new dentist office!

I had an amazing experience at Midtown Dentistry Summerwood location, all the staff were polite and welcoming as soon as I walked into the office. I came in for a deep clean today and saw Loan Pham. She was amazing!!! I could tell that she really cares about what she does and she made sure to talk me through every step of the way. I’ve had multiple issues with my teeth over the years and I was determined this year to get back on the right track. After seeing Loan today I feel so confident that I will be able to do that here. It’s so refreshing to go to someone that takes pride in their work and Loan went above and beyond for me today. Dr. Penchas, Loan Pham, Emily, and team were fantastic! I was a bit nervous going in because of some bad previous experiences but this blew me away. It was all in the details with this clinic! Loan was thorough but still gentle on my teeth - definitely coming back again :)

I love this place! Dr. Gomes is outstanding. Hercilia is so pleasant and helpful. Her energy is amazing. That's especially important when you are nervous about a procedure! Mr. Chris is so mannerable also. The whole team is amazing!

Thrilled to join the chorus here talking about how great the team at midtown dentistry is. After some traumatic and life altering dental experiences prior, we needed major corrective work and due to the past trauma we needed a special level of care and consideration. The midtown team know exactly what they’re doing, and they are the only practice I would recommend for people in similar circumstances - they know how to work with people who have dental phobias. The corrective work they did quite literally changed our lives. Since then, we have become devotees of Loan, who is the most comforting, skilled, compassionate, thoughtful and informative hygienist we have ever met. We live far as heck from this practice, but we happily drive out every 6 months for our appointment with Loan with zero regrets and we are thrilled every time. Thank you for giving us our lives back and helping us rebuild our trust in dentistry!

Best visit to the dentist I've ever had. From the entry of the charming rustic door into a waiting room that felt like a family living room- everything felt warm and cosy. Ray and Jane welcomed me with warm smiles and made me feel comfortable.
Dr. Penchas was very kind and gracious and really listened. Overall, a very positive experience . I would recommend it to anyone.

PEARLAND,TX LOCATION:
Where have they been my whole life!??? I have had a LOT of work done through the years. Some places have been better than others but if I would have found this place a long time ago, I would have been much happier!
Yesterday (2/20/24) was my first and not last visit. I walked in and happiness was in the air! The place smelled so good and calming. It was clean, decorated nicely with vibrant colors and a coffee & water corner for use.
I read the sign that said "we'll be with you in a moment" and I had a seat. Not 2 minutes later, here comes Ken!
Ken is a whole bubble of joy! His vibe is so positive and calming. He took me back, did my x-rays and cleaning. He was gentle and explained every move he made. His conversation was genuine and appreciated because it took my mind off of being anxious.
After he was done, Dr. Andrew Gomes came to take a look and explained everything in great detail, where I actually understood what he was talking about!
In the end, I booked my next appointment with the front office manager and even she was warm and inviting. As a whole, customer service was top tier and everyone genuinely seems like they liked their job.
I will highly recommend them to any and everyone because finding a good dental office where you're actually comfortable is really hard to find!
And to top it off, their prices are very fair.

The staff at the front were super helpful, and were very accommodating. I do not personally have a fear of dentists, but I can see how they would put someone at ease who does have that fear. I spoke to Cynthia today about the varied options available for the work that I need. She was thorough, supremely understanding of my limitations, and more than willing to work with me in whatever capacity I decided on. This place is definitely top notch.

Attentive staff, cozy facilities, knowledgeable dentists! I tried Midtown Dentistry out because my boyfriend continuously raved about their services and they did not disappoint. Dr. Tran is a gem. Would recommend to friends and family!

Nervous patient. For someone who has been too scared to go to a dentist for years, these people were the perfect answer. An extremely comfortable and professional service. I'll be getting all my work done with this surgery from now on. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a dentist!

Amending this review because of the outstanding customer service Cynthia provided. I was very frustrated about the whole experience but Cynthia called and explained why things had fallen through the cracks. Instead of trying to justify why it had happened and deflecting blame she just apologized and offered to remediate the situation.

This is the first review of a medical/dental practice I've made, but at this point I have to because things are so bad. I've never dealt with this level of incompetence before and I am at my wits end.
In November 2023 I first went to this practice after reading the reviews. What I thought would be a normal biannual visit turned out to be a abysmal experience. After my routine cleaning the dentist mentioned that I had a few cavities which needed filling. I was surprised because no other dentist had mentioned this to me, but ultimately early stage cavities are subjective in regards to filling or not, so I let him fill the "cavities". The patient coordinator mentioned that they would give fluoride after and that there might be a charge. I then mentioned that I didn't want it. When the dental hygienist came in at the end of the appointment, she ended up putting fluoride on my teeth, at which point I mentioned that I explicitly said I did not want it. I then mentioned this to the patient coordinator who said I wouldn't be charged. At this point I paid for my cavity fillings ($69) and left.
A few weeks later to my shock I received a bill for $69, the exact amount I paid in the office before I left! I called to inquire about this but the people at the desk said they had no idea- only that there was a fluoride charge, and said that someone would call me back. No one called me back.
I have called five times over the last few months and every single time someone has said that they would get back to me. Not once has someone called back. I even called back twice last week and the person at the desk gave me attitude and said that the manager was busy and they would call me back before the week is over. The entire week went by and no one called me. Now I've gotten another auto-emailed bill, which is double the last bill with absolutely no mention of what the charges are for. I have used this insurance at several other dentists and not once have I had fraudulent charges like this.
I am a medical student and have many friends in healthcare, including two that are practicing dentists. I told them about this experience and they were shocked at the level of fraud and incompetence. I see dentists regularly twice a year and keep great care of my teeth and not once have I encountered a situation like this. I will never come here again and I strongly encourage you to look at the myriad of other great dental spots in Houston.

Everyone was so kind and helpful, my filling was done fairly quickly. Loved my experience and definitely will be going back!

My appointment today was very pleasant. Friendly and efficient staff. My hygienist Olivia was superb! My teeth felt very clean. She is very patient, calming, and gives great suggestions for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

Loan Pham consistently does a fantastic job. She makes coming to the dentist a much more enjoyable experience. She’s friendly, knowledgeable, & efficient. I look forward to seeing Loan every six months for my cleanings.

I recently had one of the best dental experiences in years. The hygienist, Olivia, provided exceptional care throughout my visit. Her polite and pleasant demeanor made the appointment comfortable and reassuring. What I particularly appreciated was the way she explained each procedure in detail, enhancing my understanding of oral health. Been seeing Loan for my dental cleanings for years, and she always does a fantastic job. She makes sure that I feel comfortable the entire time of the cleaning, even with my sensitive teeth and gums. She is always super friendly and my teeth always look sparkling clean afterwards!

1st impression is everything and the staff along with Dr. Penchas proved that to be factual! Very friendly, caring and professional, providing a very thorough evaluation and consultation regarding my dental care and concerning issues. Loved the "jazz flavors" in the waiting area!

12/15/2023-- Had my cleaning on 12/11. Today I was taken care of by Valentina. She is new to me and I think relatively new to the practice. She could not have been more professional. Every step of what she was going to do was explained clearly. Not only did she do a great job cleaning my teeth, she was very gentle. Valentina is a great addition to Midtown Dentistry. I would definitely let her do my cleaning again. I have been going to this practice for many years. Never have had a bad visit. Great place for your dental care. 12/21/22... Today I was taken care of by Loan (hygienist), Tara (dental assistant) and Dr. Li. I can not say enough good things about this practice. Always professional, caring and gentle dental care. I'll never go anywhere else. The staff is great here. Highly recommend!! --------------------------------------- I've been a patient here for many years. Always great dental care. My hygienist Loan always remembers my previous visits and what the treatment plan is. She always has great tips of how to keep my teeth in good shape. I will not go to anywhere else or let anyone else do my cleanings. On top of that the entire staff is always friendly and professional. I would recommend Midtown Dentistry to anyone that needs great dental care in a clean and professional establishment.

After getting lost in the tunnel, they stay on the phone with me to give direction. For the entire procedure (in the dentistry), the given directions are clear and it wasn't hard to follow. There's no problem with communication.

No waiting, very friendly and the hygienist is concerned about your comfort. He's also very efficient and does a very good job of cleaning your teeth.

Edit: I stuck it out. They have Dr Gomez who I found to be a wonderful and knowledgeable dentist. All the staff are friendly. Dentist assistance and hygienists are the best! Since I wrote this last review, I am very discouraged with this company. Dr Tran was relocated and now they have another dentist. Very discouraging since that will now make 3 since Dr Bostwick and Ehler sold to them. It’s too bad they do not take into consideration that patients want familiarity and want to be more than a chart. LOVE Dr. Tran and his whole staff. They have a very good bedside manner, very patient and they explain EVERYTHING. Dr. Tran will sit down and answer all your questions thoroughly without looking at his watch. Lol. I used to be a Patient of Ehler and Bostwick. I went to them since they opened their practice in Pearland. Midtown Dentistry purchased the practice and has many locations. The downfall with this is if they choose to move their dentists around, I will be very dissatisfied and find a dentist who I know will be there each and every time for my checkups as well as treatments for my teeth. I know I am not the only one in Pearland and the surrounding areas that feel this way. So Midtown-Pearland wants to keep Dr Tran.

Dr. Jones and the dental staff have been quite genuine in their efforts to seat the new crowns properly. I have had an issue with office personnel saying they would call me back and never following through (3 times at least.) Finding my records I hand carried to their office took a week and was told at one point no records were available. Only when I called for a face to face meeting and/or mentioned legal counsel did the records show up.

Steven and Dr. Jones were great! They filled my cavity quickly and well!

Ms. Olivia was extremely nice and explained everything thoroughly. I loved my time here and will definitely keep coming back.

For starters, I HATE the dentist. I’m sure they’re all good people, I just don’t like they gotta get all up in ya mouth. If you stay in Houston and you’re like me, go to Midtown Dental - Downtown. Dr. Jones and the DA Stephen made my appointment comfortable and quick! I got a deep cleaning and some cavities filled, Dr. Jones is really steady with his hand, you won’t feel a thing! Even if you do, he accommodates to make sure you’re comfortable your entire appointment. Also shout out to the front desk, Nia is very nice and helps you with any questions or concerns you may have. I realized I liked this dentistry when I stopped being so nervous the moment Dr. Jones got started. Once again I highly recommend and that entire team deserves a raise!

Dr. Truong did my deep cleaning and you can tell she did an amazing job. Staff was very friendly and answered any question I had. I recommend midtown, especially Dr. Truong.
