Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
Being green is always on our mind and we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint. We’re proud to say we are leaders in this area and are a role model for other dental offices across the country. In fact, our Practice Support Center is LEED certified.
Reducing, Reusing and Recycling
At Midtown Dentistry, you’ll find our commitment to the environment is throughout every part of our building and in our day-to-day dental practices. We use recyclable and organic materials wherever possible, have installed a dry-vacuum system to reduce water usage, and use clean compressors and LED lighting to conserve energy. We even watch our air conditioning consumption to help save power when possible – which can result in big savings in Houston during our hot summers.
Eliminating Hazardous Waste
Conserving energy is just the beginning of what we’ve been doing to be green. We also have researched and invested in materials that can save the Earth in other ways. For example, the digital radiography and amalgam separators that we use help eliminate mercury and other hazardous waste from the disposal process.
Our commitment to being green isn’t just something we talk about; it’s a part of who we are.
