Crowns and Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a device used to replace missing teeth.  It attaches artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth — also known as abutment teeth. Your dentist can create a fixed bridge, or they may make removable bridges.  You can replace your missing teeth In one to three visits, ed.

There are multiple options for replacing a lost tooth, including implants, dental bridges, and removable partial dentures.

Your dentist can either a removable dental bridge or a dental bridge that permanently attached to your teeth. These are called fixed bridges.

There are two ways that removable bridges can be attached to your teeth:  The first way is with precision attachments.  The second way they can be attached is with metal clasps. Removable bridges can be taken out and cleaned. However, fixed bridges offer more stability than removable bridges.

Your Midtown Dentistry dentist in Houston will apply fixed bridges by either bonding the artificial teeth directly to the abutment teeth or by placing dental crowns on the abutment teeth.  To avoid damaging your teeth, only your dentist or another dental professional should remove fixed dental bridges.

There are several reasons to get a dental bridge, including:
